The 16th international conference "2022 New Trends in Signal Processing (NTSP)" took place on October 12th – 14th, 2022. Traditionally, the organizer of the event was the Department of Electronics of the Armed Forces Academy of Gen. M.R. Stefanik (AFA) and Slovak Electro-technical Company, Liptovsky Mikulas branch.
The conference was held with the support of the Czechoslovak section of the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), which creates a scientific platform for the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, radar, radio mobile networks and electronic research with an emphasis on signal processing. It takes place every second year since 1990 and from the 10th time onwards it is held only in English.
The conference was opened by the chairman of the program committee of the NTSP 2022 conference, Prof. Kurty, PhD. and rector of AFA Assoc. Prof. Jozef Puttera. The event was attended by 67 registered participants from Serbia, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. Slovakia was represented by experts from universities, electro-technical, electronic and defense industry workplaces, representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic and the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, who are involved in research and development projects. The participants of the conference included students of the 3rd degree of university studies at AFA, study programs Electronic Weapon Systems and Military Communication and Information Systems, as well as doctoral students of other universities from Czech and Slovak Republics.
The goal of the conference was to present the results of research and development in the field of signal processing and to share the latest knowledge in the areas of Analog and digital signal processing, Applied electronics, Information and communication technologies, Signal processing in military applications. 23 entries in mentioned areas were presented and are published in the conference almanac, which was sent to the IEEE Xplore publication and citation database.
Award "NTSP 2022 Ph.D. Student Prize" was given to the doctoral student 1st LT Matej Adamec (AFA) for his contribution: Malware Signatures Detection with Neural Networks.
Our big “Thank you” goes to ALITER TECHNOLOGIES, HAKO, RADIXON Ltd. and R-SYS Ltd., which are the national and international companies that have supported the conference. The organization of the conference at such a high level would not be possible without their support and we value it very much.
