The mission of the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik is to provide cadets with university and lifelong education and training, to contribute to a comprehensive improvement of their skills, good personality, broaden their knowledge, creativity and to motivate them for the service to the country and to be effective within national and international environment. The Armed Forces Academy continues to fulfill its military mission in wide cooperation with NATO and NATO Partnership for Peace countries in order to enable to our future officers to operate in multinational environment.
The strategy of the Armed Forces Academy in the field of international cooperation is to increase the number and quality of international activities. The Armed Forces Academy is open to the surrounding international academic environment. This strategy helps us to find partners for high quality and permanent cooperation, which is performed on the basis of the international education and research teams for a development of joint higher education programs, student and teachers mobility, environment for the student and teachers mobility from abroad.
International cooperation of the Armed Forces Academy is focused on cooperation with military Universities/Academies and military research institutions with emphasis on cooperation with those military institutions from neighbor countries still remain open for cooperation with any public or private university providing education in similar fields of study and research as provided at the Armed Forces Academy.
The Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik is a state military university not divided into faculties. Entire international cooperation is managed by the Department of Science and Foreign Affairs supervised by Vice-Rector of Science. The teaching and training mobility is implemented according to overall strategy of the Armed Forces Academy.
The Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik considers the participation in the Program as vital for modernisation of our institution.
We expect that participation in the program will motivate students and researchers to increase their education a will attract more young people for study at the Armed forces Academy.
