May 6th – 17th, 2024, "Tactical Planning for Land Forces" course took place at the International Courses Department (ICD) of Armed Forces Academy of general Milan Rastislav Stefanik (AFA).
The aim of this short-term course was to acquaint its participants with the work procedures and principles of battalion-level operations planning in accordance with NATO APP-28 ("Tactical Planning for Land Forces") and the emphasis on technical military terminology in English.
In February of this year, the course was certified according to NATO standards, which ensures its international validity. Colleagues from Hungary showed interest in the participation in the course already last year, when it was organized primarily for Hungarian officers. This time, 13 members of the Hungarian Armed Forces, 6 members of the 11th Nitra Air Force Brigade and 10 members of the Military Police took part in the training.
The course ended on May 17th, 2024 by handing over the certificates after successful completion of practical exercises and the presentation of created products.
For Hungarian colleagues, completing the course is part of their master's degree. They were very satisfied with running of the course, quality of teaching and an overall organization of the activity by ICD. They leave home with the best references of the course and AFA. And we are looking forward to their colleagues who have already secured places in the course in May 2025.
