As part of the ERASMUS+ project, exercise in module "Military Leadership B" took place on August 28 - September 1, 2023, organized and hosted by the Cypriot Armed Forces and led by instructors from the Theresan Military Academy under the direction of LTC Marcus Hornof together with the instructors from the participating military academies.
On behalf of the Armed Forces Academy, the course was attended by CAPT Richard Liska from the Department of Military Tactics and Operational Art and cadets of 5th grade, Filip Slatkovsky and. Patrik Banzak. 11 nationalities participated in the training and the language of communication was English. The cadets could thus compare their level of readiness in the military field as well as in the language field.
The aim of the course was to improve leadership skills, focused on adaptability to the changed situation, decision-making, communication and organizational skills. The course itself was preceded by preparation in the form of e-learning to master basic military principles in planning offensive operations, which was subsequently verified by an entrance exam.
During the entire training, cadets presented their outputs in front of other students and instructor from the given team. Training of the cadets took place at a very fast pace with frequent changes of space and situation. The aim of the course was to force cadets to make decisions under time pressure and with lack of information, thereby improving their decision-making and leadership skills.
