Supported by Education Center, the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš organized and professionally led a military-practical swimming course - Combat swimmer. It took place on July 11th – 15th.
The course was focusing on improving basic swimming styles, combat swimming, techniques for rescuing a drowning person, or swimming in clothing, tactical gear and with a weapon.
Furthermore, the participants have improved their skills in the control of non-motorized vessels, swimming in a strong current and conducting tactical activities on the water surface in reduced visibility.
The course was successfully completed by 6 professional soldiers of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, who were awarded a certificate for conducting courses in the field of military-practical training at the instructor level.
