Our participation in the 28th international student conference SECOSAFT 2023, organized by the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy in Sibiu, Romania, was once again successful.
Within numerous number of bachelor’s thesis, the work of our 3rd year student, cadet Emma Hunkova, from the Department of mechanical engineering of AFA (study program Weapon systems, weapons and their parts), received „SPECIAL AWARD“ for the advanced work – Method of Static and Dynamic Balancing of EDF Propulsion Unit, under the guidance of Assoc. prof. Vladimir Popardovsky, PhD.
Cadet Jakub Handzilko also from the Department of mechanical engineering of AFA (study program Weapon systems, weapons and their parts) working under the guidance of Assoc. prof. Vladimir Popardovsky, PhD., impressed the audience by his original timeless presentation named Tracked UGV with Variable Geometry for Reconnaissance Purposes of Building Interiors.
Just like last year, student of the 5th year of the Department of informatics of AFA (study program Military communication and information systems) cadet Bianca Badidova received the first prize – "1st PLACE OF THE MASTER STUDIES". It was achieved for her work Artificial Intelligence Approaches for Anomaly Detection and under the guidance of LTC Assoc. prof. Michal Turcanik, PhD., she defended her last year's great achievements in the field of information technology. She shared the 1st place for the best engineering work with cadet Simon Straka from the University of Defense Brno.
Congratulations to students of Armed Forces Academy of GEN. M. R. Stefanik and the cadet from the Department of Military Geography and Meteorology from the Faculty of Military Technologies of the University of Defense Brno.
