On 11 February 2026, 2^nd Lt. Mgr. Barbora Hurtuková, PhD., 2^nd Lt. Mgr. Dominika Ščuroková, and Mgr. Pavlína Vaňková, PhD., from the Department of Social Sciences and Languages participated in the Conference on Artificial Intelligence in Education, which took place at the Faculty of Management and Informatics (University of Žilina). The event focused on current trends, challenges, and practical experiences related to the implementation of artificial intelligence in the educational process. The programme included expert lectures on the use of generative AI in the preparation of teaching materials, automated assessment, support for student learning, as well as ethical and methodological aspects of AI use in the academic environment. The discussions also highlighted that artificial intelligence will represent a significant challenge for educational institutions in the coming years, requiring them to respond sensitively to its dynamic development, establish clear guidelines for its use, and further develop the digital competences of both teachers and students so that AI serves as a tool to enhance the quality of education rather than replace it.
